Shoulder Puller

The Shoulder Puller automatically removes pelts from the shoulder and back of sheep and lambs.  Built to withstand the toughest operating conditions; it requires low maintenance.  Using hydraulics with PLC control; it is capable of handling up to 600 carcasses per hour.  It is suitable for all sheep breeds and varying animal sizes

The operating cycle is triggered by limit switches and sensors mounted on the conveyor track.  The main hydraulic cylinder raises the clamp arm to the clamping position.

The operator places the pelt inside two clamps and then actuates the clamps causing them to grip the pelt and lower to a pre-set position, removing the pelt as it travels.

The pelt is released automatically, and the cycle repeats for the next carcass.

A PLC unit and rotary encoder control the arm position.

Pre-assembly and testing ensure smooth installation on site, reducing plant down-time. The Shoulder Puller requires floor preparation and safety railings around the Arm working area for Operator safety.
