Dressing Line Conveyor
The dressing line conveyor is a heavy-duty twin-roller type, running on either a monorail beam track or twin channel track.
The chain used can be either the 458 type or the lighter 348 type depending on the loading involved. The chain is manufactured from drop-forged high-carbon steel and its rivetless construction leaves for easy assembly.
There are two types of horizontal bends available, roller bends and wheel bends or where space constraints prevent use a wheel turn is used. Roller bends are used in applications where a high load is placed on the chain. Vertical bends are normally manufactured to a standard rise of 300 but a maximum of 450 can be used. The dressing line conveyor is driven using a sprocket drive sized to the requirement of the conveyor line. A tension unit is also provided as part of the conveyor. This type of conveyor is advantageous due to its ability to flex in both the horizontal and vertical planes.
